Not long ago I ran across an article in a local Metro publication about a woman named Betty Chu who is an accomplished breeder of English Angora rabbits. She is respectively recognized nationally for her award winning rabbits. With all of that rabbit wool around her, it was a natural progression to start spinning and knitting, first for herself and then for others. The fiber is collected humanely from her own English Angora rabbits (the softest breed)!

Betty also sells the yarn. So of course I couldn’t resist treating myself to some of her luxurious fiber! Pictured above is the first skein that I bought from her. I have since knitted it into the softest, warmest hat I’ve ever owned! It’s amazing to watch fiber go from hand spun yarn to luxurious hand knitted items.

I’ve just signed up this evening to start blogging here on WordPress. I decided to take Knitgrrl Shannon Okey’s advice. In her book “The Knitgrrl Guide to Professional Knitwear Design” she recommends WordPress for it’s ease of use, flexibility and large built-in development community.
I’m looking forward to sharing with you my knitting adventures!
